NVM Private Equity (NVM) continues to invest in enhancing its team and is delighted to announce a number of key promotions. Charlie Pidgeon, James Bryce and Simon John are all promoted to Partner and Sam Sinclair will take on the role of Head of Talent and Value Creation. These promotions reflect the contribution each individual has made to the business and marks an active period for NVM with a number of new investments, the realisation of portfolio company Agilitas for an 8.4 x money multiple and the successful sale of the VCT fund management business.
Charlie is based in London and has been a core member of the investment team for the past 8 years. Charlie has worked on a variety of investments and disposals including Agilitas, No.1 Lounges, Primal Pantry, Intuitive and Lending Works. Prior to joining in 2012, Charlie spent 6 years with PwC working with a range of SME and founder led businesses.
James is based in Newcastle and is NVM’s Head of Legal and Compliance. In addition to overseeing all of the firms transactional, legal and compliance obligations, James works extensively with the portfolio as part of NVM’s value add offering. James joined NVM in 2018 and was previously a Partner with Square One Law leading their corporate team.
Simon is based in Newcastle and is the firm’s Finance Director. Simon is responsible for leading all aspects of the finance function and investor relations. He also played a significant role in the recent sale of the VCT fund management business and in NVM’s fund raising activities in recent years. Before joining NVM in 2016, Simon was VP of Investor Relations at FTSE 100 Sage Group plc and prior to that was part of the PWC corporate finance team.
Sam is based in London and is responsible for the firm’s portfolio value creation activities. Sam works extensively with NVM’s group of companies and owns many of the relationships with NVM’s due-diligence providers, consultants and community of non-executives. Sam joined NVM in 2018 and was previously a consultant with Korn Ferry and Russell Reynolds Associates, two leading human capital consulting and executive search firms.
