Andy Leach

I joined NVM in 2013 and head up investment activity across the North West whilst currently representing NVM on the boards of nZero, Secure Retail and Inprova. 

I am the Investment Partner responsible for the exit of musicMagpie which delivered 12.1 return when it was admitted to trading on AIM in April 2021. 

I started my career with Coopers & Lybrand in London where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW ACA) and I have spent the last 32 years working in the North West Private Equity community. 

I really enjoy operating in such a relationship-oriented market, which allows you to build enduring connections with the region’s people and businesses. No day is the same and most opportunities have an element of uniqueness about them which is why I enjoy the role so much. 

Outside of work I enjoy sports, particularly rugby. Although no longer playing, I remain heavily involved in the sport through Lymm Rugby Club, where I first played as a 14-year-old. I stepped down as Chairman of Mini, Junior & Colts Rugby after 10 years in the role and am now Treasurer, being heavily involved in our ambitious development plans.

We work with businesses that cross a range of sectors and at differing stages of development. Each team will face completely different challenges but as experienced investors we are able to support them with their growth journey.
